Step 1: Get a Comic-Con Member ID
Everyone (ages 13 and up) needs a Member ID before sale day. Register for an account at comic-con.org/member-id. Enable emails under My Communication Settings to receive con-related announcements.

Junior (13–17), military, and senior pricing must be verified with a valid Comic-Con Member ID. Children under the published CCI cutoff age get a free badge when rules are met (pick up in Sails with guardian). See the Member ID page and child badge policy for details.
Sale-Day Flow
Waiting room opens 8:00 AM PT — join before the 9:00 AM PT lock.
After lock, CCI assigns a randomized order; you may get a timed buying session.
Checkout window is short — the cart doesn't reserve inventory until paid.
Room entry ≠ badge. Multiple browsers can add redundancy.
Badges aren't transferable; resale violates policy and risks cancellation.
Buying Groups
Each buyer can usually cover up to three people (self + two).
Have Member IDs + last names ready and a stable payment method.
Whoever gets through first buys for the group.
One reseller can void the whole cohort — CCI is strict about resale.
Trusted friends in separate tabs all entering at 9:00 AM PT gives multiple chances.
Shipping, Pickup & Bags
Confirm your mailing address before the CCI cutoff for advance shipping.
Otherwise pick up in person at Sails Pavilion, upper level — San Diego Convention Center.
Bring a government photo ID + your 2026 badge confirmation email.
Even if your badge shipped, grab your tote, lanyard & materials in Sails.

Child badges pick up in Sails alongside adults; children must attend with guardian.
Tap In / Tap Out
CCI uses badge taps at designated doors to discourage sharing.
Procedures post closer to opening day — watch signage at primary entrances.
Forgetting to tap out can temporarily block same-day re-entry.
Every attendee must pick up and tap in with a matching ID — no proxies.
